Arriving at Athens airport, you will be transferred with a private car to your apartment in the centre of Athens. Later you can explore the city of Athens at your own pace. Our company will provide you with information material, maps and tips for places to visit, interesting museums and art galleries, nice restaurants and special activities and tours that might be interesting for you.
Today, you will be transferred with a private car to the port to take the speedboat to the island of Naxos. When you reach the port of Naxos you will pick-up your rental car. After settling in your villa, you can relax at the villa or visit the nearby beaches for a swim. The western side of Naxos has the best beaches on the island. From Agios Georgios and Agios Prokopios down to Mikri Vigla and Alyko, all these beaches have crystal water and soft sand. Some are organized, while others are totally remote.
In the evening you might want to explore the main town of Naxos, Chora, and its Medieval Venetian Castle. Naxos is an island full of gorgeous and serene corners. From the sunset at Portara and the strolls at the atmospheric Chora to the villages and stunning beaches, you will definitely find the spots to celebrate your love every minute you spent on the island.
Day 3: Beach Day in Naxos
Today you can enjoy the amazing turquoise waters of the Naxian sea. You can swim at the nearby beaches of Agios Prokopios and Plaka, or drive to the other side of the island to the secluded Alyko beach. Any choice you make, the scenery and the Cycladic sea will reward you!
Day 4: Day trip to Mykonos und Delos Island
Today you can have a day cruise to visit the small island of Delos, a unique ancient city, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the famous cosmopolitan island of Mykonos. Even though Delos is one of the smallest islands in the Aegean, it was the most famous and sacred of all islands in antiquity, since, according to the legend, it was there that Apollo-Helios, the god of daylight, and Artemis-Selene, goddess of night light, were born – it was, in short, the birthplace of Light, which the Greeks always regarded as precious. You will have 3 hours to explore this magnificent ancient site.
Later you will continue the boat tour to Mykonos island, where you can walk through the beautiful streets, visit the famous “Little Venice” and enjoy a stroll through the shops on the island.
Day 5: Free day to explore the island of Naxos
Today you will have a free day to explore the island of Naxos. You can explore some of the most charming and lesser-known villages of Naxos island. The authentic mountainous villages in the center of Naxos island are true gems. Apiranthos, Halki, Filoti, and Potamia are the most picturesque villages in the center of Naxos, surrounded by wonderful green nature and keeping an original character away from tourists.
Another option while you are on the island is a horse riding tour. There you will enjoy the distinctive nature of Naxos on horseback and you will gallop at the wonderful beaches of the island (Optional - we can book the activity for you).
Day 6: Culinary Tour in Naxos
Today you can have a private full-day tour with a local guide exploring the main town, Chora, but also the lesser-known traditional villages of the island. During the tour, you will visit a local cheese-making shop and will taste traditional local food and delicacies. Taste this amazing island's local products, from the famous Naxian potato to the delicious Naxos Citron. All those visiting Naxos describe it as a gastronomic paradise and you will understand why once you taste this delicious produce.
Day 7: Catamaran/sailing tour in the Small Cyclades
Today you can explore the south of Naxos and Small Cyclades islands on-board a luxurious catamaran or a sailing boat. You will have the chance to visit the most beautiful, secluded beaches and coves. You will be able to swim and snorkel in the clear waters. In one of the stops, your lunch will be served, prepared onboard with local products.
Day 8: Last Day in Athens
Today you will take the speedboat back to the port of Piraeus. On your last day, you have some free time to explore Athens at your own pace and enjoy your last night in the amazing capital city of Greece.
An incredible journey exploring the treasures of Athens and the Cycladic island of Naxos has come to an end. Today we will transfer you to the airport, where you will take the plane back home.
